Control
Room

The heart of Studio 1’s control room is an exclusive 56 channels SSL 4000 E-Series Mixing Console from 1980, in iconic Hansa BlueTM. An SSL G-Series computer takes care of its fader automation and total recall.

Our monitoring system in the Control Room includes three different ranges of sound systems for hi-fi mixing and recording references: The in-wall monitoring system is composed by a Quested Q412B sound system, while main midfield monitors are ABACUS Pivota 42. Our collection of nearfield monitors also includes ADAM S3A, KRK E8B Exposé, Yamaha NS10, Auratone 5C and Genelec 1030 and others available upon request.

Outboard racks surrounding the Mixing Desk include a selection of classic iconic analogue equipment. Compressors like Urei 1176/1178, LA2A, TubeTech CL1a, EMT or Valley; Filters by Manley, Helios or Siemens; as well as reverb units from Lexicon, AKG, EMT, Quantec or Yamaha.

We offer two recording possibilities: tape analog recording on two Studer A800 MKIII Synced-48 track, or digitally on ProTools 2018 48 IN and 48 OUT System.

Live
Room

The Live Room is a warm, mid-century designed, 130m2 space flooded with indirect natural light. Its dry acoustics make it ideal for band recording and small ensembles. Vibes, textures, feeling.

Amongst the gear, two wings of ‘Steinway & Sons’ –a 1940s ‘S Model’ and a 1976 ‘B Model’ – are the center of the space and have held the creativity focus on countless iconic recordings. Selected gear like a Hammond, Solina String Ensemble.

The Live Room has direct visual contact into the Control Room, the Marble Room and the Vocal Booth, also allowing an “acoustically separate, visually connected” recording experience.

Vocal Booth

The Vocal Booth offers a very compact and dry sounding space, providing full isolation while maintaining visual contact with the rest of the rooms. Ideal for dry vocal or amp recording, is large enough for big instruments.

Marble Room

The Marble Room, clad in beautiful Italian marble and cedar wooden floor is ideal for bright recordings. Its early reflections and a beautiful roomy color make recordings come alive although easy to keep under control. It features a commissioned custom-made drum kit, specifically designed to highlight its sonic characteristics.

Vocal Booth
